The King in Yellow Borders

By WiL - v1.8 Release - March 12, 2022

Genre:
  Adventure/Horror

About the Name:
"The King in Yellow" is a collection of short stories by Robert Chambers, published in 1895.  Many of the names, scenes, and themes in this game are drawn from the first story, "The Repairer of Reputations", as well as characters and events from throughout the collection.  The unreliability of the narrator, especially as his side of the story cracks and slips further from 'reality', plays a central role, and I wanted the same to be true here.

"Yellow Borders" refers to the default board layout in ZZT, and its presence denotes an unfinished or amateur game.

I've provided a Gutenberg link to the original Robert Chambers work in the credits below.  Thank you for playing. I love you.
